What is the customs progress light?

The customs progress light is an indicative light that gives additional insight into the customs status.

Which conclusion can you draw from a yellow progress light? 

  • It means that the CUSCAR is successfully processed by customs and that at least 1 line item is fully cleared.

  • It means that the ship agent won’t be able to help you

Additional information:

The customs progress information is sent twice per day to CPU to indicate that an item of a Bill of Lading is fully cleared.  It means that the customs light has priority over the customs progress light as the customs light is a real time light and the customs progress light has a delay.  Normally the information is sent around 6.30 am and 14.15 pm

Mind that CPu doesn’t know how many lines are present within a Bill of Lading and hence CPu can’t conclude if the entire container is cleared.
